The jewellery created by Bayot Heer is a fusion of traditional goldsmithing and techniques acquired from his previous training in furniture–making. clean, simple lines, combined with textures and a love of details, are hallmarks of his designs, inspired by classical and contemporary architecture.

"It's important to reflect the customer's individual personality and lifestyle in their jewellery."

Born and raised near Lucerne, Switzerland, Heer apprenticed in furniture making and architectural drafting, followed by his move to Calgary in 1981, where he opened a custom furniture shop. This endeavour spawned the idea of creating furniture embellished with precious metals and gemstones. Heer embarked upon learning the skills of goldsmithing at a locally established jewellery store, incubating the passion for his newly–acquired craft. Heer's designs have garnered the respect from his peers and clients alike, earning him many national and international awards.

Bayot's greatest supporters are his wife, Fran, and children, Nicholas and Emily.
